Munay -- pronounced “Moon Eye” -- is an Incan word meaning “Love” & “Will.”

Studio Munay is a full-service Interior Architecture and Design Studio based in New York. We create strategically tailored experiences to beautifully solve your needs.

Studio Munay, founded by Alan Calixto in 2020, specializes in corporate interiors, hospitality, and residential design. Alan began his design career at the award-winning New York firm A+I (Architecture + Information) while pursuing a Master’s in Interior Design at the Pratt Institute. He spent 12+ years designing spaces for a variety of clients, including the corporate and creative sectors.

Alan became A+I’s first Director of Interior Design where he was known for his depth of industry knowledge, rapport with clients, and an unwavering dedication to finding the right solutions for every project.  

As a recognized interior design leader, Alan has built relationships with many design manufacturers who also consult with him on their upcoming products. Alan tours their headquarters and factories to get a deeper understanding of their manufacturing process and to ensure quality to the benefit of his clients.
